Rated 5 out of 5 by from Elegant Cut, Handles Like a Dream Purchased the zforce s 48 from local dealer in Pittsburgh, PA. Got a mulch and stripe kit installed. Very solid construction. This thing cuts like a dream and leaves a decent stripe. It will turn uphill on a slope with no problem and did NOT tear up my burnt grass. Perfectly straight lines. The ride is a little rough if you don't have a golf course for a yard so just lay off the throttle a little. Has plenty of power and is actually on the quieter side (prior mower was a Cub LT1 tractor). Can not comment on durability as of yet but it definitely seems like an extremely well put together piece of equipment.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very satisfied I decided I wanted a zero-turn with a steering wheel when I educated myself on the pros and cons of mowers that work best on steep inclines (I have a lot). Bought in spring of '17. This thing is awesome - it's like driving a powerful golf cart that cuts grass. It's extremely easy to maneuver, and it performs excellently. Lever-action spring-assisted deck lifter is awesome (another make had a foot pedal which I would not prefer). Early on, it would stall out when I turned on the PTO, but I learned from my very helpful dealer that this is because the engine needs to warm up sufficiently before engaging the PTO...no problems since. I decided I wanted the Z-force due to better trans, better build, tougher steel/welded deck, can change the oil filter. Heard rumors that cub cadet is poor quality compared to other makes that are mostly commercial-grade (although cub cadet now has its own commercial-grade models), but comparing residential models to residential models, I am very happy with my choice.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from It did not live up to exspectations Had to replace front tires ,had to repair bent belt guide and belt, front tire bearings and tires had to be resealed now back in to the shop will not move. hope it is not the transmit ion. between repairs and regular maintenance and the general change in steering (getting loose) I have been disappointed because Cubs are supposed to be the best. I don't enjoy my free Cub t-shirt any more.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Work Horse I've owned numerous riders over the years and I have over 100 hours on this one and it's the best ever. I have some steep banks to mow and it's the safest rider I've ever owned. It'll mow straight up, straight down, sideways or whatever you need. Low center of gravity and wide track are perfect. I'm 6 ft tall and the pedals and seat fit me perfectly. I set the mower deck pin to the height I want and it's extremely easy to raise and lower it because of the spring assist design. It has grease fittings where they are needed and accessing them is easy. The deck is heavy duty welded steel and it's so heavy duty that you can step on it if you need to for getting in and out of the seat, but it's not necessary if your legs are long enough. I really like the rear mounted engine too because it doesn't blow cut grass and dust up into your face like front mounted engines do. Overall, it's a 10. I would highly recommend this ZT rider.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from moms first new mower Talked my mom into buying this mower. It mows really well with 48 deck. Motor has plenty of power for mower size. She seems to like it pretty well. Mower is very east to drive for a zero turn. She also doesnt get stuck mowing her ditch line like she used to. Wished it had a bigger cup holder and some more type of storage area, Other than that seems pretty solid.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Mower!!! I have had this mower for one season now and this mower is great. The KW engine runs strong and fast with a great cut. However, I am tall and I wish the seat was taller to support my height. Nevertheless, I researched this zero turn purchase for at least 30 days and decided on a Cub, specifically, this model. My researched payed off because the overall performace, ease, and smooth ride of this mower is much better than others in comparison.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Cuts great but bagger and deck need improvements. The mower itself has plenty of power and does a nice job of cutting. The foot pedals could be positioned a little better to make it easier to go from pedal to pedal. The deck height adjustment pedal is cumbersome and when you change height adjustments, you almost have to get off of the mower to see the number of the height setting that you want is. The mower had a wide wheelbase which is good for stability but not the greatest when going around certain objects. The deck sticks out 2-1/2" - 3" past the rear tire. I still have issues going around some trees where the tire rubs the tree or the plastic storage box above the tire rubs the tree. The bagging system is terrible. If there is any moisture in the grass, forget it. There is a baffle that gets bolted on the bottom of the deck that is supposed to help the bagger's performance. Unfortunately, it also holds grass clippings on top of it and when you use the deck wash/cleaning system, the clippings get saturated but don't get washed out. After a few days the wet clippings begin to ferment and smell real bad. The only way to clean it out is to take off the deck (which is a pain) take off the baffle and scoop out the wet, sloppy grass. To take off the deck, one person has to take a wrench and take the tension off of the belt tightener while another person takes the belt off of the pulley because one person cannot reach both at the same time. At this day and age, it should not take 2 people to take off a mower deck. My old mower didn't need 2 people. The mower has power and cuts great but several improvements have to be made to this machine.
