Rated 4 out of 5 by from Just picked this up I just purchased this snowblower for the upcoming season. I've read a lot of reviews on many different brands and this one stood out for me. After I assembled it, I noticed the joystick for the chute was a a little difficult to move. I'm hoping that once I use it a time or two it becomes easier to use.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from TOTALLY UNRELIABLE!!! Bought new on Dec 29, 2017. Used three times. Followed all off-season storage and maintenance procedures listed in the manual. Received 13" of snow last night and when I tried to fire it up this morning it wouldn't start. No spark (and yes I changed the spark plug). Authorized dealer said it sounds like the coil. How does a coil go bad after 3 uses?! I finally broke down and bought, what I thought was a top of the line 2 stage snow blower, and it quits working after one season! Which does not leave a good taste in my mouth for Cub Cadet snow blowers. I will definitely go with another brand next time! In fact, my entire purchase has been nothing but an extremely frustrating and disappointing. Based on my experience I would never recommend a Cub Cadet snow blower!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Poor quality Will not start. Carburetor failure after only 9 months. Will not purchase Cub Cadet again for any product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Rock on I have had my Cub Cadet for three years now and have had no problems except the pull cord broke. I live in Minnesota and have had some good snowfall the last two years and it starts every time without a problem and clears 100' double driveway without a sweat. Even when the road plow goes by no problem it just spits out where you point it. So impressed I bought another for my dad and another for the cabin.....

Rated 4 out of 5 by from 524SWE My older snow blower (15 years old) started having problem this winter so while looking for parts I also was checking out a new snow blower. I found this 524SWE at Tractor Supply and it had some features like power steering (that will take a little time getting use to). The chute direction didn't always turn so I had to help it a little from time to time. Since then I used some WD-40 at the base of chute to see if that helps next time it snows. The angle of the chute worked well before I started using it but once blowing snow I couldn't adjust it. Couple of days later was out checking it and it worked real good then. Gave the cable some WD-40 also. I think the chute direction and the angle have to be just right because of the U-Joint in the controls to work right. Other than that it worked like a charm. I wanted one with electric start because my old one wouldn't turn over fast enough to start when it was around 0 degrees. I keep it in an unheated shed so the oil was extra cold. I have 3 driveways and some sidewalks to clean. I need to get some heated grips for it next. They seem to be on backorder right now.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best blower I have owned. Easy start. easy to use. no strain, all gain. Love the power steering. When finished with blowing, felt just as good as when I started At 72 yrs. old, that's saying a lot. Great value. Thanks Cub Cadet.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent in the snow we've had Only had one snow this winter that was significant (about 3"). Fired up the new Cub Cadet (started right off) and cleared my driveway and the plow hill in front of the house in no time. My driveway is quite steep, but I was able to climb and clear it easily. On the way down the drive I kept it in first gear to keep it from running away from me. It would have taken two people to shovel for an hour and half to clear the snow. The snow blower had me back inside in about 45 min.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This product is great I found the snowblower to be powerful, fast, and most impressively easy to start. The electric start option works easily. Although I read the manual twice having instructions on the machine makes using it a breeze. If anyone asks me about suggestions for a snowblower to purchase I will certainly suggest this one. I haven't achieved total snow clearance, that is I must use a shovel to reveal the driveway's blacktop. I think that is due more to my inexperience with the machine than with it.
