Rated 5 out of 5 by from The Right Choice! This is one awesome machine! I have owned a tracked 2 stage snow blower for 20 plus years, but nothing compares to this. I have to say, having a 3 stage is a learning curve though. That front auger is very aggressive and if you get too close to an object, well "Look Out" yes, it will do damage! I learned very quick to not get too close after I impaled the auger blade into the leg of our swing set. (Thank goodness for shear pins) This unit is much heavier than my old unit and that is a major plus for packed snow. Starts easy and is quieter than my old one. The negative for me is there is no gas filter and no gas valve:( sad, I always turn the gas off, let it run out so gas don't sit in the carb. This process for me has proven successful as I never had a carburetor issue in over 20 years!!! Also, no Hour meter? Yes, this is important! All the manual spec's reflect on hours for maintenance, well there is absolutely no way to keep track of total hours on such an intermittently used machine! (Take care of your machine & it will take care of you I say) so to me an hour meter is a must and yes, I will have to install one. Steering is a bit more difficult with the added weight, but manageable. Last, Reverse is annoyingly to slow!!! and 1st gear is a bit too fast when you are in capacity snow. Overall, I love it! Bit pricy but I'll pay for quality, hopefully it will out last my old one. Thanks, Ken

Rated 5 out of 5 by from handles deep wet snow I live in the sierras and our winter provided almost 50 feet of snow. Conditions ranged from light powder to heavy wet cement. This blower handled it all with ease. Could even cut through 3 foot berms left by the snow plow.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great traction I got the 3X 26 Trac just after Christmas from my father in-law. We have not had a lot of snow to really see what it can do, just two storms of less than 6 inches. The machine worked perfectly on all accounts , except that in the low gear, the trac was difficult to turn. It may need a little adjustment from the shop.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works Great I've owned this snow blower for a little over a year and so far it has worked great. It always starts on the second or sometimes third pull ( I haven't needed the electric start yet), It moves the snow without any issues, and it doesn't have any problems with the pulls left by the snowplow. I like it so much I'm purchasing a Cub Cadet Zero-turn mower this spring.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best snowblower! After 2 storms and never had so much fun moving snow. This is the best machine I have ever run. Great power and the easiest to run. The tracks go anywhere and the triggers make steering a breeze. Awesome machine Cub Cadet!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from first time i ever used a snow blower . we had 18" of snow in dec. this machine worked fantastic. throws far and the tracks really grip well. it took me sometime to get the hang of it because im a first time user ever but once i did it all went smoothly. its works great at the end of driveways when the city snowplows block it .lights an heated grips work great. im 65 years old and it was extremely easy to handle with the power steering . great machine .well worth the money.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Snow Thrower We live in Minnesota so we typically get our fair share of snow. This year has been a little bit more than average. After having another track brand for some time, I'd say this Cub Cadet is a huge improvement! Throwing the fluffy snow is hardly even a test for the Cub, and the heavy snow seems almost as easy. The 3rd stage makes the end-of-driveway plow-in (by the city snow plow) easy too. Combine that with the easy to position discharge chute, turning clutches and hand warmers, and we have a great snow thrower!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from A high quality snow blower I recently purchased this snowblower for my property in the Tug Hill region of NY. We get tremendous amounts of Lake Effect snow up there every winter. I have only used it once, mostly to clear the end of my driveway where the county plow had pushed in a good amount of wet snow. It cleared it nicely. As other people have reported, the reverse speeds are too slow but the forward speeds are plenty fast. This is a very well built machine. Very little plastic. The chute is solid metal and everything is heavy duty. The chute turns 180 degrees with only 2 or 3 cranks from the very conveniently placed and solidly built handle. No cheap plastic indentations that fail like on cheaper machines. Headlights and heated grips are definitely a nice touch. Machine turns on a dime with the directional controls under the handles. Could throw snow a little further but maybe it will when I actually have higher piles to throw. Anyway, would definitely recommend this machine to anyone who deals with major snowfalls.
