Rated 3 out of 5 by from Easy to handle snow blower but... I recently bought a Cub Cadet - 3X 26 snow blower to replace a 25 year old snow blower. The Cub Cadet is much easier to maneuver and I love the heated handles. However, the Cub Cadet does not throw the snow far enough. The old snow blower could easily throw the snow 25 feet across my double-wide driveway but the Cub Cadet cannot, regardless of the depth or type of snow (wet or dry). I expected the Cub Cadet 3-stage to throw the snow much, much further.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Used twice so far The reason I bought this is because we have had many huge snowstorms in RI for the past few years. When I purchased this in November 2018 to be prepared for this year my son joked that we wouldn't get any snow because of it. He was right. Nothing fell until March. 2 small storms but it was 6 inches of heavy wet snow. The snowblower worked great. Even cleared the heavy plow mess at the end of the driveway with ease. Hopefully I get to give it a real workout next year.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Worked great As usual we bought it and it only snowed twice. I barely got used to using but sure the job a lot easier. Before I got to use it the second time my great neighbor had the job done but it was easy to use the one time I used it.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Garbage and they don't stand behind their product I bought this and winter 2017/18. Chute control rod snapped in half on first use. Used it three times the whole winter. After second use, augers failed to stop spinning when ever is released because the belt snapped. Cub cadet customer service says that it falls under normal maintenance so the belt is not covered beyond 30 days of purchase regardless of the 3-year manufacturer warranty. I guess you're supposed to expect your belt to break every month with regular use. I also paid for an extra three years extended coverage from the retailer, but because it's still under the manufacturer warranty I'm out of luck. so after all that still had to pay out of pocket to get this piece of garbage fixed. To late to return and who's going to but a broken machine? If I could return it, I definitely would. Oh, and buy plenty of extra shear pins because these things snap EXTREMELY easily.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wouldn't have survived without the 3X 26 I have had nothing but excellent performance from my 3X 26 Snow Blower this winter. I have snow from 5' to 7' piled next to our driveway and on the park strip. There have been days where I have to plow two or three times a day to keep up with a storm and the 3X 26 never let me down. I even plow the street, because it may be 24 hours before we see a plow, so we can make it out of our neighborhood. I replaced a 30" stage 2 snow blower with this 26" one, I can cover more ground quicker with the stage 3 blower than my 30" stage 2 could handle. Three of my neighbors plan on getting this model since on several occasions I have helped clear their apron on their driveways after the plows finally come through. So far this blower has been an excellent purchase.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Disappointing Bought at the end of last winter; used is for the first time in November of 2018. R1 was not working; then it would not "throw" the did push it, however. Took it to get repaired under warranty, and have not used it since I got it back. Let's hope it works as advertised in the future

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Cub Cadet 3X26 One pro for this snow thrower is it is easy to start, doesn’t matter how cold it is outside it starts on the 2nd or 3rd pull every time, except what’s mentioned below. Now the cons: This snow thrower eats shear pins, if you buy one buy an ample supply of shear pins. Next, reverse gear is far to slow, you end up just pulling it back by hand and let me tell you that wears you out ( I’m 69 so it’s a work out), the power steering option, works ok if you have gloves on, but if you are wearing mittens, forget it, LED headlights, whomever decided that led lights were better has never did much snow throwing, they don’t get warm enough to melt the snow off them and after a few minutes they are useless, my next comment has to be for the rope pull, there are so many cut in groves on then and it fills with snow and then melts because of the warm motor and if you stop and shovel for a spell, you “may” have a frozen rope or if it comes out it won’t return, my last comment is that the chute plugs up a lot and you gotta stop and clean it out. I’m thinking there wasn’t a lot of RDT&E done on this model before it was released. If I had it to do over, I would purchase a Toro.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Will not blow snow, only air. Worst machine I have ever owned. Shear pins break constantly. Shear pins should break when contacting rocks and blocks of ice, not snow. Useless for blowing snow. Purchased this year, have tried with every storm this year trying to find a way to make it work, every time I gave up and finished with my old machine that did not fail.
