Rated 4 out of 5 by from So far it has been great I really like the xt1 efi so fedar. Easy starts, cuts great, and bluetooth maintenance tracker is awesome. There is a lot i like about this mower but there are a few things i wish were of better quality. Like the hood, it looks aggressive which i really like but its plastic and seems like the tabs that lock the pieces together will not hold up over the years, like the old steel ones. I'd pay for the same looking hood if it came in steel as an option. I only have 3 hours on it total and there are already hairline cracks and discolored stress marks on those tabs. That is probably the biggest complaint at the moment. Turning radius is great, gets through wet grass fairly easy and very conservative on fuel. I know people complain about having to press a button in order to cut in reverse but it's really not that big of a deal. Although I wish you get off with it still running with the blades off for moving downed branches or opening and closing gates. That is kind of a pain.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from LOVE IT, but... I feel like I have a F-22 compared to my old crop duster (even though my old Murray lasted over 15 years with no repairs needed..still have it)...BUT, here's the rub...You must disengage the PTO (blades operation) to go backwards...sure you can set it up to have blades operating but you have to stop and do some other procedures to make it happen...my Murray could just stop, I flip it into reverse and the blase are still turning...can't do this on the Cub...But I understand this is a safety "feature", but c'mon....other than this, I love having a EFI engine AND having four deck wheels instead of just two, REALLY helps in avoiding scalping...one of these days, they're gonna have to find a way to make the deck cut grass with multiple suspension points which virtually guarantees a unified height of grass blades making the lawn look like a carpet

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Great, but......... mower runs great, tackles all jobs, but whenever I disengage blades, the belt comes off most of the time. I am getting tired of having to replace the belt constantly!!! Just over a year old, but I have already replaced 4 belts! Sounds like a design flaw to me.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from It says Fuel Injection on the Hood! When we bought our new house last year I bought a really old Murray 40" for $100. I have previously used John Deeres; both the old manual shift with the variator CVT drive and hydrostatic. This is head and shoulders above. Instant starts, snappy throttle, and rapid torque rise, combined with what seems to me to be a really intuitive pedal arrangement (I did hit the brake a few times, like the Murray!), and as others have said, light and responsive steering. But I keep hearing the Beach Boys singing "but I've got a fuel injected engine under my hood" (Shutdown) in my head. I finished the regularly mowed ~3/4 acre in about 2/3's the time and then tackled the once a month behind the fence; plenty of power and muscled right through. Washout port worked good - note to self, blow off the mower first and then use the wash port next time. I will post an update after some more use, with all the work, just turned over 1 hour when I parked it.
