Rated 5 out of 5 by from Review after 2 years of use. The model I bought was the Cub Cadet SC 500 EZ. It has been 3 years, and I am happy with it. No problems. I really like the castor wheels which makes turning much easier. I have my local cub cadet dealer do a full servicing of it every year.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from poorly made sorry i wasted the money.front castors don't swivel, guard under deck is hit by blade.and the washout thing is a joke. I did lawn maintenance for 25 yrs (now retired) know abit about mowers and wish I had looked this thing over better

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Cheaply made I've had the lawnmower for only 3.5 years, and it's now unusable. I could deal with having having to replace the cheaply made wing nuts from day one. Although there is an easy way to adjust the rear height of the lawnmower, changing the height of the front wheels required that I put the front of the lawnmower on a block to raise it off the ground. The lawnmower shimmy's at the start because of the caster wheels but that was something I got used to. The blades never cut evenly, even after the first year. There was always some tall grass left in multiple rows when you examined your finished work. What I always found to be a problem was the way the rear wheel height adjustment lever on the left side and the side discharge chute cover on the right side would always get caught on a tree, post or fence when you tried to cut close to any of those objects. Just last week, the cover finally got caught on a fence and tore off from the bolt holding it in place. I tried to hold it closed in place with a clamp, but it eventually fell off during mowing. What finally made it inoperable was when I gave the yellow drive control handle a sturdy push to get up a wet hill, it broke right off on both sides. I expected a lot more from a lawnmower at this price point and cannot recommend this product to anyone.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Sturdy and reliable I’ll start off by saying I am extremely pleased with Cub Cadet across the board! I own a small lawn care company, we have a total of 35 weekly yard and about 11 bi weekly yards we take care of. Our yards range from normal single lots to 1.8 acre lots, our customers only want a s/p mower used on. I’m well aware these mowers are not intended to be commercial grade s/p mowers. However I now own 4 sc500z that run daily. I bought my first in 2014 and it is still running strong! So if that doesn’t aid in the decision to go with Cub Cadet I’ll give some further insight. The 500 has a larger bag and bags well, of course any mower is going to have slight issues bagging thick damp grass. With that being said raise the lid and pull grass back to rear of bag and go at it again. They fire and have continued to start on the first pull since the first day I bought them. Now I only use 91 oct 100% fuel. Do your maintenance and use good fuel and you will have absolutely no issues with these mower! The zero turn works extremely as long as the ground is not loose. All in all buy this mower you will not regret it!!!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Loved this mower...at first I bought this mower two Father’s Day ago and at first it ran and cut great. About two months shy of two years the self propel went out (and it wasn’t a belt problem). Well, it’s a heavy mower without assistance but...the grass has to be cut. On this mower’s two year anniversary (from its purchase date) I notice that it has severe cracking around the motor by the frame. I will be taking it back to Tractor Supply to see what (if anything) they will do.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love the front sweval wheels, deck cleaning I boughtthis mower 6 weeks ago. I looked at alot of mowers, I choose this one because of the front wheel design, because my yard requires alot of turning while mowing. I have used it a few times and can say this mower saves me about 20 minutes every time simple because of the zero turn wheels. The ability to wash the deck is super nice as wheel my garage never smells like a lawn mower anymore. I really am happy with this mower

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Almost Great Zero turn feature best for bad backs, no pushing down on handle to turn, can almost mow with one hand, two faults - if pushing up a hill to trim very hard to roll back at you with this drive system and if mowing across a hill casters continuously pull down the hill.
