Rated 4 out of 5 by from Throws the snow I bought this a year ago and used it the 2018 winter in Michigan near Lake Michigan. It really throws the snow on my Cub Cadet with a 25 h.p. Kohler engine. I could adjust the snow chute so I could throw snow over my parked truck. I really enjoyed clearing the drive and gravel road. The gravel road made me change the skid shoes. The standard shoes are not wide enough and sink in the gravel. I snapped a total of 3 shear pins for the season. I added back up lights to the tractor.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wow, huge improvement over the last model. I was nervous to buy because of reviews etc. Glad I did. I have a 54" XT1 that I'm putting this on. I retired my old previous generation 42" blower from cub cadet that was mounted on an LT1045. It was fine for what it was but it was flimsy, hard to mount, difficult to push down to lift the blower, the retract pin was a crummy design and the love joy connection would fail every so often. Every one of these issues has been addressed. It is now 6 pins to put it on a wayyy better engineered from every standpoint of mounting to the controls, belt routing etc. You can now lift the blower with ease, the one control arm is more out of the way so you can climb on and off the mower easier, the lifting pin clicks in cleanly, it is twice the construction of the old one. Steel chute, more gusseting etc. My only concern is in the back of the blower there is a small drive belt and things that may be a pain to get to if they need servicing but I'll cross that bridge when I get to it. Changing the love joys on the old one was no picnic either. I assembled the blower and mounted it last night in about 2 hours taking my time. You'll need a small assortment hand wrenches, sockets etc. for the easiest install. Drove it 15' straight into 20" of snow that had been sitting in my yard and it almost felt like it was pulling itself into the snow... it was just GOBBLING it up not getting built up in front and throwing it idk 30' maybe? way further than the old one. I know I have a larger hp mower and more torque than my old one (4 more hp to be exact) but I can tell this is just a better auger setup up front that is stuffing the snow in. I've read reviews about it getting clogged on wet stuff, I'll be pretty surprised if that happens but will update it it does. Glad I wasn't scared off by the reviews because it is a large purchase and i had concerns.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from I would not recommend As long as the only snow you get is light dry power this snow blower works well but if the snow is at all wet you might as well shovel. Yesterdays snow was eight inch's of light power it worked well blasting snow forty to fifty feet today's snow six inch's of wet snow and I broke four shear pins and could only blow the fifteen to twenty feet. to top it off one of the blades or shafts bent before I was done I had to finish by hand. I am over sixty and in poor health I purchased this to make my life easier now it will be a lawn ornament.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great machine I bought the snowblower when I bought the XT2 tractor. This snowblower really does the job. We live in the country where the roads are plowed by one guy, so it takes a while to get cleared out. My Cub Cadet helped me keep my little road open to the main road all last winter.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Great.. when its not decommissioned. Bought the New 2019 XT2 Mower in spring and used the mower and bagging attachment that worked fantastic. All my issues came come winter time. The underwhelming cab is flimsy and could not get the wrinkles out even with the help of the dealership making in almost impossible to see what i'm doing. Then, after one use (about 6 inches of snow) the main shaft to the gearbox of the blower broke. The dealership nearby replaced it under warranty with no questions asked. Then, 2 uses later with about 3-4 inches of light snow it HAPPENED AGAIN! Dealer said this may be a continuing problem due to a design flaw on Cubs end. Is anybody else having this problem? Majorly frustrated and will be looking for alternate snow removal. Too bad because otherwise was really happy with the machine.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Does a great job plowing I am using it for the 2nd winter now and I must say I am pretty happy with how it plows and the overall quality. It wouldn't hurt to have some technical knowledge in case something brakes. So far I replaced a plastic part that holds the 2 rods on the chute assembly as well as 2 belts and 2 shear pins. I do use it on a long private road without any further problems. I also wanted to alert everyone who owns or is planning to get this snow blower. If you ever need to replace the lower belt (the one that goes inside the snow blower attachment part# 954-05062 or 754-05062) that there are other options. The belt is over a $100.00 at the dealer and online. I did my research since I couldn't find any official cross reverence online. The belt for the 54-inch Deck part# 954-0642 fits perfectly fine. I bought one off the internet for like $30.00. The one I bought is reinforced with 6 strings on the inside while the belt what it came with only has 2. I put it on today and plowed some snow and it worked very well.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Gear issue I've had this blower for about 3 years with no problem until this year. Heard a loud band and realized the worm gear must of broke. Didn't hit anything. Took it in and after a week waiting finally got it fixed. It was the worm gear. The first time I used it was with a powdery snow and it worked great. Used it about two weeks later with a heavier snow and had another big bang happen. Nothing hit just 10" of snow. Will only blow snow a few feet now. Spent $375 this first time a few weeks ago. Not happy with this worm drive. Why now, not doing anything different. Great concept but manufacture design has problems. I wouldn't buy this style again unless they fix issue.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Eats Snow Like An Animal I bought it last spring and put it on this fall. I have used it many times this year in wet and heavy snow, dry snow and deep snow. It works awesome. It loves to eat snow. I can blow the snow 35+ feet away if it is heavy and 50+ feet if it is powdery. My two driveways used to take 2 hours to blow out with the walk behind, it now takes 20 minutes. It is faster and alot less work. I like that it has a steel chute and impeller. Many other brands have plastic impellers. The controls work good and are easy to used. I put it on my XT2 22hp lawn tractor. Installation is not hard. The blower is heavy which means it is built good. Make sure to get the weight kit and chains or you will just spin the tires and go no where. It is WELL worth the cost. No more walk behind snowblower for me. Tired of slipping on ice, taking forever, and moving it around. I like to sit down and enjoy the ride. It makes snow storms fun. It leaves more time to snowmobile.
