Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very Strong Tractor I bought mine at Tractor Supply about 2 months ago and have used it 5 or 6 times so far for use on an acre and a half of property. I have been a Cub Cadet user for roughly 15 years now and this tractor shows big improvement over older models. The entire unit from top to bottom looks to be redone. I really like the welded deck and the overall power that this tractor has. It turns exceptionally well and is very comfortable to drive over long periods of time. The controls are pretty standard, nothing flashy, but I like that. If I was to find a few negatives, I would like to have a switch to turn off the head lights. They turn on and stay on as soon as the key is turned on. My belt came off the last time I mowed the lawn, but it was easy to put back on and tighten one of the pulleys. Other than that, I have no complaints and would recommend this tractor to anyone.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The one minor problem I cut a little bit over an acre and some parts are a little bumpy because of tree roots and even though I weigh 185lb I bounce a little in the seat and the power take off (Blades) shut down. The seat shut off in the seat needs to be on a delay to prevent me from having to restart the blades 3 or 4 time extra Which I believe will lead to premature wear.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Worst mower ever Bought new and after only 8 hours of easy flat yard mowing the mower would crank but not start. Had to rent a trailer to get it to an authorized dealer. Turned out to be a cracked manafold. Now it has 25 hours on it and again it cranks but and normally won't start. Kills the battery and now that it's out of warranty guess who has to rent a trailer AGAIN and take it to an authorized dealer AGAIN.. Plus, guess who has to buy a new battery AND now pay for whatever the issue is this time.... ME. It has LESS THAN 30 HOURS ON IT! I'd love a refund and buy a better more reliable mower....

Rated 1 out of 5 by from disapointed I have 5.7 hrs a month old suddenly stops won"t go forward or reverse. Repair line says I must get it to a shop myself, of which I have no means to transport the tractor, for warnaty work.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from good product I have had my mower for3 months. it has good power. it is easy to use. I maintain 4 plus acres with it. the only disappointing thing so far the first set of blades only lasted 12 hours. I also have a 2010 model that I get 35 to 40 hours out of a set of blades. blades are 55 dollars for either mower. I don't understand extreme wear, hope this doesn't continue. I run mowers side by side, it must be due to design change. wasn't expecting 5 dollars an hour for blades.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great mower This is my first Cub Cadet mower grew up using snapper products. But after lots of research I went with the cub cadet xt1 lt50. So far it has worked great for my needs. Only test will be this winter to see if it can push snow for me.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good mower! Cheap seats Good new mower. Consistent clean cut with the larger deck. Material on seat seems cheap though, when a small limb pierced it with ease. Idid cut the limb but it barely scrape to seat. Glenn

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not the power or quality that I expected Most of my life I have had John Deere lawn tractors. Due to my age and fixed income I decided to step down to a Cub Cadet 50' 24hp lawn tractor. Though it does get the job done there always seems to be a doubt that it will. It moves WEAK, when it gets in thicker grass it chuggs alot and has to be recut to get the work even. I have about 35 hours on it and wonder whether I should take a hit on a sale off and get a better lawn tractor.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Has a lot of room for improvement So my biggest complaint with this tractor is that there isn't anyone that will come and do maintenance. While I had the machine delivered 3 years ago, now that it needs work as well as, routine maintenance and NOBODY will work on the tractor at a reasonable price. I've called several places and they want to pick up the machine for about the same thing that it would cost to just buy a new one. I even bought the maintenance plan and could never use it; so another waste of money (it wasn't cheap!) So unless you are a mechanic with all the tools, I don't recommend the mower in the Midwest because while there are dealers there are no places to perform maintenance. Other than that: the steering wheel fell off, the tires don't hold air during the winter, the machine is difficult to take the cutter off and clean it, changing the blades requires removing the cutter. Comparatively there are others that are one touch and you can slide the cutter out, flip it change the blades and one touch click the cutter back in place. When the steering wheel fell off, i searched the web for the XT1 to repair it but there are really no instructions available on the web for anything. So not only is it imposible to find someone to work on it but its impossible to do it yourself (DIY) because they keep all the information secret from their paying customers. I've tried to tune it and do what I can guessing and improvising based on other youtube videos for a non-mechanic but it sounds and rides rough! CS doesn't seem to comprehend the issues, they just try to give me a number to someone 'local'. To them 'local' is many hours away and these places want almost $1000 to just get the machine there and look at it. Like I said, just to do routine maintenance I could buy a new machine. Maybe that's the entire game? Make it so expensive that the machines are throw away instead of able to be maintained. On a positive note, I have bought a few attachments and I do love them. Additionally there are a lot of choices at reasonable prices. Unlike their competitors whom have easy attach, the XT1 still has the old (really old from 1912!) cotter pin design instead of modern connectors. While it's inconvenient to have to crawl on the ground, get a pliers and he-man the attachment connection together, it does work and doesn't come apart, sometimes even when you want it to (unlike the steering wheel that just falls off!). I can go on, but I just have nothing great to say so, I'll just stop. Maybe if they made maintenance convenient and the mower more practical to use, I could have more to say. Personally, I don't think it should be sold and distributed by companies, if they can't repair it too.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Strong Machine.. Bought a bagger with this, my grass had not been cut for 2 weeks so it was high. I think they defenitley made a more powerful deck & bagger (no clogging)!!!
