Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome Workhorse Thank you Cub Cadet for making a real work horse with shaft drive and what I consider a garden tractor. This XT3 is my second shaft drive Cub Cadet. The first was a 2130 many years ago. I just took delivery a week ago and put my XT3 GSX to work using a box scraper to smooth out my steep long driveway. Traction lock is essential for my needs to get the bite going up. I also relocated about 2 ton of driveway stone with the Cub Hauler, a truly handy cart. This tractor just seems to power through everything. With a set of tire chains, it'll be unstoppable. By the way, the turning radius is phenomenal mowing with the 48" fab deck. I encourage anyone considering a new garden tractor to check out the XT3, it's in a class competitors have no equal and there is a whole lot of value for the price you'll pay.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from cub cadet xt3 gsx The cub is a decent garden tractor. The kohler engine has plenty of power mow lawn poll different implements' trailers. pros Fabricated deck works vary well as long as you clean after each use' the Cast iron axial is not that common on most mowers today' the electronic power steering is a nice option to have cons the hitch on the back of the tractor is on the week side, With a Kohler engine will suck a lot of gas, The ignition counsel is on the sloppy side, Bottom line I would Recommend this tractor

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Handles everything thrown at it Please understand, i am the owner of 2 IH cub cadet models (169 and 124.) They have been tough tractors that get the work done. I wanted to get a newer garden tractor for a larger property i bought last fall. After doing a lot of homework i chose the XT3 GSX. I have been absolutely floored by the performance and the build quality. Box scrapers, moldboard plowing, snowplows and back blades. It pulls and pushes with ease. It is indeed a super tractor.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from lots of power, hate the fab deck traded in a cub cadet 3240 the was better built, hyd power steering and hyd deck lift. The fab deck is the worst I have experienced for clogging up. Can not mow a full acre without stopping to clean underside of deck. Would have opted for the stamped deck , maybe it cuts better without clogging. Also the fab deck has sharp corners instead of rounded. Surely Cub Cadet could of made a better designed deck. Will ask questions next time before I buy. Electric lift will be expensive to replace when it malfunctions.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from First new rider I've ever owned. I love everything about this mower. The only thing is I had to spend almost 2 hrs adjusting the mowing deck which I fell that's not a Cub Cadet issue but a dealer issue. I got it leveled and love it to death.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from We like all the features on this tractor We bought the XT3 GSX series about 2 months ago. Traded in a top of tbe line John Deere tractor for this one. The Cub Cadet out performes the John Deere buy a mile. Built much stronger, and the features like power steering and power deck lift are very nice. Another nice feature is the rear differential lock comes in handy on our property. We lived here for 12 years and my wife never got on the other tractor until now, she really likes this tractor and she feels safe with the wide wheel base. We are very happy with this purchase.Good Job Cub Cadet.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very nice looking In March, 2016 I purchased new a GSX with 54" fabricated deck which is my third new Cub Cadet since 1995. Features I like about the GSX is it's power steering and electric deck lift and tight turning radius. I mow nearly two acres and during the fall tow a Cyclone Rake mulching leaves for nearly three months. I use the mower 10 months out of the year and have logged 87 hrs. since March, 2016. Features I dislike is the nearly impossible to read hour meter and constant engine backfire upon shutdown. Although the backfire is minimized by shutdown at full throttle I think this needs improved as I never experienced this with my older Cub's. I'd like to see Cub engineers redesign the deck wheels so they can be turned 90 degrees to facilitate easy deck removal instead of having to drag the deck in and out. Overall I'm happy with the new GSX and look forward to years of trouble free operation. '

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice machine. From the electronic power steering and electric deck lift to the commercial quality 25hp horizontal shaft Kohler command pro and locking rear end, this machine has awesome features, and great power. On the other hand though, I think the machine could use some better quality parts. First issue I found is that the chrome colored plastic inside the headlights thats suppose to reflect the new L.E.D bulbs light outward is sagging over the top half of the bulbs only letting half the bulb shine out.. Second issue I found is that the entire panel that the ignition switch is in is loose. It moves around 1/2 inch back and forth when turning the key. Third thing would be that I'd expect a little more from the digital hour meter and service minder. It's small and isn't backlit, so it's often hard to see. Last but not least, I'm not really a fan of the plastic hood but that's just a personal preference. I've not had any negative experiences with it.
