Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Small Tractor I've used my tractor to mow several times now, used the lawn sweeper, and drug around the limb chipper. It really is a great, powerful, easy to use tractor that checks all of the boxes for me. My wife grew up on a farm and can mow better than me at this point, but I will learn how to cut in close and keep the deck level!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Great steering loss of power I bought this a couple months back to replace my Husqvarna because it kept breaking . my pasture is full of molehills and bumps and these molehills kept breaking the deck on my Husqvarna so I researched and this seems to be one of the toughest mowers I could find so I bought it after being assured by the salesman that this would be a good mower for my property I mow about 3 acres total it does a great job on the flat portion of my yard but on my bumpy pasture it keeps kicking the PTO off by the time I was done mowing my pasture I had to restart the PTO a good dozen times it still cut everything but a pain in the butt every time you it's a large bump .I have one other problem with the mower when you put it in reverse if you do not ease off the pedal very very very slowly stops so quickly Daddy just about gives you whiplash I guess this is because it has so much power but I literally hurt myself starting and stopping If it wasn't for the power steering I would totally regret this purchase

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A Super Tractor! I purchased my XT3 GSX in May 2019 and have only owned it for a month. But what a satisfying month it has been! This was a upgrade from a very fine Cub Cadet XS1 ST54 lawn tractor that performed flawlessly, but I wanted a garden tractor with more power, features & capability. This XT3 GSX is my 3rd Cub Cadet in 5 years. And not because they don't perform well, on the contrary they perform so well that I've kept upgrading to the next level! The cut is professional quality, top of the line. The tractor does everything I ask it to without hesitation. The powerful 25hp Kohler engine & Hydro Gear transmission FEEL and are awesome. The power steering is great & the turn radius seems like turning on a dime. The ride is smooth & comfortable. So far it's a Super Tractor in my opinion & well worth the price for what you get.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Rugged, value packed, but could use refinement. I purchased my Cub Cadet in June of 2018, along with the 48" fabricated deck, and a previous generation Cub Cadet 48" snowblower, and a sleeve hitch. At this point I have owned it a year, used it through all 4 seasons, and have been very happy with it. The Kohler Command 25 provides plenty of power, with a surprisingly nice exhaust note. The rear-end is among the strongest in the mid-range garden tractor lineup, sitting between the Tuff Torq K66 and K72 in strength. The differential lock, while rarely used, has been indispensable when needed. The 48" fabricated deck does an excellent job cutting, certainly better than anything else I have owned in the past. It's also a tank, weighing in at over 150 pounds, and that makes the electric lift much appreciated. On that note, I never thought the electronic power steering would impress me, but it really has. I didn't think power steering would be so useful, but it really is, especially given the weight of the XT3. In short the XT3 is an excellent mower, can clear snow like a champ, and with the sleeve hitch can use a wide range of implements. This is a true medium-duty garden tractor, and is on par with it's competition while maintaining a lower price. Are there things that could be improved? Absolutely. I wish the controls for the electronic power lift were on the tower, as opposed to the fender. Along with that, the headlights are not sealed, and thus need to regularly be cleaned out, which is a bit inconvenient. Also, there are a few more minor things that could stand improvement. The choke lever could stand to have a return spring, and the 48" fabricated deck really should have rotating anti-scalp wheels. It wouldn't add much to the price, and really would make life easier. Lastly, I wish the headlights had an on-off switch, it's a minor thing given that the lights are LED, but it's still irritating. I want to end with more positives though, and there are many. The seat is very comfortable, and easily adjusted. The tilt-steering is easy to use, and very useful, and the location of the differential lock is right where you want it. The brush guard also does a great job protecting the hood, headlights, and grille. It's a bit heavy, but easy enough to raise and lower, giving access to the hood. The Cub Cadet XT3 GSX is an excellent machine, with some room for improvement, at an excellent price. I can't recommend it enough for someone that needs to step up from a lawn tractor.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Don't buy!!! I buy cub cadets because they are American made, but unfortunately my XT3 is a total piece of junk! I purchased it in July of 2015 and since then I've had to replace the whole ignition switch (2017) and now a coil!!! All Cub Cadet told me was sorry!!! I'll never purchase another Cub and I suggest anyone who reads this review does the same!!!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Don't waste your money with this unit.... Bought unit in 2016 with 60" fabricated deck and snow blower. Currently has 225 hours. The good is the heavy duty fabricated deck, locking differential and nice seat. The bad has been in twice for weak transmission and sticking throttle cable. Transmission still weak, won't even go in winter with snow blower up just sits there. Dealer added transmission oil and it no made difference and was charged even though it didn't fix the problem and should be under warranty. Cable still sticks after mowing, something inside melted and causes it to stick when cooled off, once again no repair done by dealer. Cub Cadet claims a excellent warranty but it is no good if not support by dealers.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Mower deck Mower deck pain in he butt to remove. The fab deck is heavy and the wheels do not rotate like the older decks. I remove my deck every winter and install a snow plow. Has any one made casters to make it easier to remove the deck. CUD CADET DROP THE BALL ON THIS ONE.
