Rated 1 out of 5 by from The worst starting mower I have ever owned. I bought this mower a year ago. It worked great for about a month, then started to have trouble starting while hot. But it worked. I was happy. I ran the gas out of it before storing for winter. This year, it won't start while hot. At all. With the electric start OR the pull start. And forget the electric start ever. Even cold. It has literally made me cry with frustration. When I do get it running, in 30 minutes I have to shut it down to add fuel and then it won't start for at LEAST 10 minutes, usually much longer. I have never regretted any purchase as much as I regret the money I spent on this.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from This machine is a lemon.. in the color orange... I bought this lawn mower last year. I used it maybe a max of 24 hours. I have had nothing but problems. The problems started last year, maybe a month after purchase. It would be running for about 30 mins, then knock out. It wasn't out of gas or anything... just died... and it wouldn't start for atleast 2 hours... not vapor lock, because the gas cap being off didn't change. Ohh.. and about the starter... such a joke. The starter would spin, but not connect to the flywheel... so pretty much useless.. and that's IF the ignition switch worked. As mentioned in another review, there is a line of grass uncut, in the middle of the mower, simply because the blades don't overlap.. horrible design. I've never gotten the bagger to work... i think the only good thing I can say about the mower is that it can propel forward with a good power. Hardly have to push on it.. except when it dies and doesn't start back up. The mower was great for the first week. But a $900 purchase shouldn't be this deplorable..

Rated 1 out of 5 by from BUYER BEWARE! Expensive piece of garbage. This is the most expensive piece of garbage I've ever purchased. As a previous reviewer noted, the electric start system is terrible; it worked great the first 2 times we used the mower but then stopped working entirely. We took it to a service center for warranty work, where we learned the wires in the starter box had vibrated loose because the they are held on with cheap slip-on connectors, which came loose again in just 3 uses after being serviced. Finally had to use liquid tape to hold the connections together. Additionally, we mow our yard once a week, yet the poor design of the side discharge chute results in constant clogging of even the driest of grass, causing the operator to shutdown the machine and manually unclog the chute. I've had plenty of people stop and comment on how wide the deck is and that it probably makes things go much faster, at which time I make it a point to tell them about the issues I've with the machine, and then demonstrate just how easy the chute clogs and what you have to go through to get it running again. With the number of negative reviews of the CC 600 that appear to be related to the electric start and clogging of the chute, Cub Cadet should be embarrassed to continue to use the same design year after year w/o considering a redesign based on customer experience. As such, I'll never again purchase or recommend a Cub Cadet mower to anyone. Therefore, if you purchase this machine and start having the same issues as those before you who have posted reviews of their experiences to help others avoid the same mistake, don't say you weren't warned ahead of time.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great mower ive had this mower a year now, that i use on my yard and a few others and knock on wood I have had no probs it cuts and bags great with the hi lift blades and also mulches how it should with the mulching blades.I like that its a key start but dont like that its a push key, but starts all the time and if you loose the key like I had the pull start works first pull, until you order another one.All in all I really like this mower and I am planing on getting another one soon. Also a coment that i read if the grass is to high and wet you should let it dry out like with any other mower and maybe bag insted and ive never had a line of grass not cut. I always overlap my cuts when i mow, no matter what type or size mower i use.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great!! We use it in a lawn business. This mower is Commercial Grade. Only issue is rear wheels coming apart before tire wears. (I guess we over use the mower)

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good mower but recommend modifications I have owned CC 600 over a year now. Great engine, great cut, adequate power. Modifications needed: Make it easier to adjust cutting height with front wheels, currently very time consuming when trying to adjust cutting height by having to prop up front of mower, remove wing nuts, pull bolts, align with pilot holes, reinstall wing nuts. Also, please design a rear bagging system with this same mower, if this could be done you would have 5 star reviews on this mower, every time. The side discharge just not a good design for this mower, narrow opening, 45 degree bend, allows for grass to clog in chute without fail, very frustrating. Beside those to "flaws" this is an excellent mower.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Disappointment not worth the money Have a lot of problems with the push start Button for the lawnmower to start, what’s even worst is trying to start it manually. I have called support on the warranty that was a joke now I’m suck with this mower that’s does not turn on

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Disappointed I bought this mower last year (IE. have used it one season). I cleaned it after every use and kept it out of the weather. The biggest problem I have with the mower is that the clippings don't get pushed down into the lawn when mulching. They get stuck under the mowing deck and bind up the blades. The hose attachment does not work once the blades are bound up, so you need to tip the mower and manually spray out the clippings in order for the blades to turn again. When you lift the mower up to clean out the deck, the engine will not restart. It takes about 45 minutes to start up again b/c it floods. The other major problem I have is cut quality. This mower leaves a line of uncut grass in the center of your cut line. The blades apparently do not overlap sufficiently and there is a space between the two cutting blades. So, instead of reducing my cutting time with this 28 inch deck, I spend more time double mowing (because of the uncut grass line in the middle of every pass), cleaning under the deck, and waiting for the machine to decide and re-start. Mean-while, I finish mowing my lawn with my 20 year-old, 20 inch toro deck.
