Rated 4 out of 5 by from I like the simplistic design of this mower. I recommend that some sure method of checking the available fuel be designed for the mower. IT is hard to see the fuel level in sunlight. Also the mower could use some simple fenders to prevent clippings blow-back on the operator.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great machine I have had my machine for over 13 years and have had only one part failure. One of the blade bearings had to be replaced. I did not select 5 stars because I think there is always room for improvement.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Absolutely thrilled with my Cub ZT2 60"!!! I bout this mower when we moved to a new place with a bigger yard. This thing is a grass eating hog! Plenty of power, easy to use. The one push back is that the top speed is a little slow, but that's not really a deal breaker. Love the mower and love mowing with it!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Limo of a machine! I've had my Cub Cadet since April of 2019. Immediated satifisfaction, from the work horse quality to the ease and comfort of operation. I ue my Cub on a large acreage and it performs eqully well on the slopes, hills and straightaways that make up our property. I look forward to mowing every week!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent machine for my five acres I have a 30 HP Cub Cadet tractor 7300 series with a 60 inch finish mower I had been using to mow my 5 acres. It seemed that much time was being waisted turning the unit around. I decided to purchase the ZT2-60 inch mower and have reduced my mowing time greatly. This is an excellent manufactured residential mower, comfortable, easy to operate. It only took about 20 minutes for my wife to feel comfortable on this mower. I would certainly recommend this mower to anyone replacing a mower.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Mower I’ve had mine about 4 years now and I got it from someone else who had it before me. I love it and I can get my huge yard mowed within 45 mins to an hour with my 60” deck!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great design I like the easy way everything works on this mower. Unlike previous ZT's, this one is simple and doesn't require multiple actions to do the same thing. However, I do think it could use a bit more horsepower, as it seems to bog down sometimes when I don't think it should.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from So far, so good! I've put about 25 hours on the mower now, and everything has been great. I used it to mow 4-5 acres of wooded lawn. No issues with the mower still runs as new and cuts beautifully. I plan to purchase the mulch kit in the coming months to use for mulching autumn leaves.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Buy this if you want to mow everything twice. I wish I had bought anything else besides this mower. The first use I discovered that the mounting plates that attach the deck to the frame were loose and had dropped one side of the deck about 3 inches lower than the other. I reattached the bolts, leveled the deck and tried again. I had to mow twice to get a decent cut. The mower was leaving a tall stripe of grass between the outer blades and the inner blade on both sides. New blades installed and I get the same bad cut. I couldn't even get the local dealer to admit that I have a warranty on a mower that was less than 3 weeks old.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love it. Mow 4 acres of rolling yard with no problems. Back doesn't hurt, knees don't hurt. Have always used tractor type in the past. First zero turn, was leary of getting one because of the terrain, haven't had any problems unless the grass is wet. But... shouldn't be mowing wet grass anyway.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great mower deck. Fourth time mowing and the yard looks like a pool table. Would have liked an hour meter and a fuel gauge. Where I can mow at full speed, the left and right pumps aren't quite matched. Close but no cigar. So far I am very pleased. Cut my mowing time by almost one half. Fuel usage is about a gallon an hour.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Zero Turn Mower I've logged just over 20 hours on this mower and I am completely satisfied. I mow approximately 4 acres and love every second of it. I've had no issues with it even if I end up getting the grass grow too long. It still cuts through with ease. Overall a great and economical mower.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great mower and baggier. I bought this a month ago with the baggier. It does everything I hoped it would. It picks up the pine needles and pine cones. I am getting grass under the pine trees for the first time. Great mower and fun to drive.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent mower! We bought this mower because of the great design and awesome features we were able to get for the price.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Sturdy and powerful I mow 2 acres weekly. Mows great. Has plenty of power to run the 60" deck. Wide tires provide good traction and decent ride. Easy to maintain. I bought it because it has the same motor and transmission as the Scag I was looking at, but much cheaper. Plus has a better warranty. 30 hours thus far and no complaints.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Tough, good components I've put 20 hours on the machine. Great cut, solid build, excellent components, easy maintenance. The deck is fabricated, heavy duty, and reinforced. The drive system is the largest residential that Hydrogear makes, the spindles are beefy, the frame is unmatched in the price range, and it has the great Kawasaki FR730V engine. I serviced it at 8 hours, and it couldn't have been easier. It is comfortable to ride on, easy to steer, and frankly, fun to drive. Excellent machine.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from For the money it's hard to beat! Compared to other residential ZTR mowers this one is hard to beat. There other mowers that are built a little better, but compare the quality to price the ZT2 60 is hard to beat. Fast, cuts great, so far I see no need to mulch grass blades. Easy to clean, comfortable ride, easy to check hydraulic oil, easy to gas up, sporty looking and very practical design. Serviceability of the Hydro Gear mower transmission, the large turf tires, and the 24 HP Kawasaki FR Series V-Twin engine was a deal maker. Oil changes are a breeze on the Kawasaki motor, everything is easy to get to compared to other brands. If your shopping around for a ZTR make sure you compare apples to apples and compare what you get for what your wanting to spend.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great mower for the money I bought this mower after tons of research of many zeroturns. It is a mowing machine. Are there other mowers maybe built a little better? Sure , but not much that I have seen can compare to quality vs price. When looking for a mower you have to think about 2 things: 1 how much are you going to mow and do you really need to buy a more expensive mower to do the same job. It took me a month and a half to decide and I always came back to this mower. I wanted the lap bar and I wanted a 60” deck. I also wanted At least 2800 transmissions. So I had to break it down from there. I had narrowed it down to three mowers but they were all at least $1000 to $2000 more in price. This mower also comes with the Kawasaki motor which all other mowers is an added feature you have to pay more for. I mow around 2 acres and this mower eats it up fast. I actually mowed the neighbors lawn which used to take me almost an hour in 15 minutes. One thing I would recommend is buy from a dealer or directly from cub cadet. If you have any issues you can directly deal with them. Mine has a little rust spot in the weld on the back of the chassis by the motor. Probably from sitting outside the store from where I bought it. I didn’t buy from a dealer in my area because the dealer near me didn’t want to talk to me unless I was buying the $7000 mower. I didn’t buy directly from cub cadet because I needed the mower by the next day. I guess time will tell about this mower but so far I LOVE it. I’m like a kid in a candy store. The only thing I don’t like is I can’t wait for the grass or grow so I can mow again. Read all the reviews you want to but someone always and I mean always has something they don’t like about something. Compare apples to apples and compare what you get for what your willing to pay. Then that’s the one you need to purchase. Trust me when I say you won’t be sorry for purchasing this mower.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very good machine so far I'm about two months with this thing and so far so good. A few issues though. 1. The pedal to lift the mower is set very high and is quite a heavy push. If you are reasonably tall, when you try to lift your leg to press the pedal your knee hits the handles. You have to twist your leg around to be able to reach the pedal. Yes there is a second hole to lower it but its not nearly enough. That pedal is something you should be able to get to very quickly and easily. We call that the "Oh Shoot" pedal. 2. This should have a fuel level indicator. To me this is a silly oversight from CC. Even just having a gauge on the cap would have been better than nothing. Literally nothing. Ideally something you can quickly glance at while mowing. I cant tell you how many times we've run out of gas in the middle of the field. You just simply have no clue how much gas you have until you run out. The tank is opaque white and I'm guessing you're supposed to be able to look at the tank and see the level? Well you cant. The tank is too opaque to see anything in there. 3. Replacement mower blades are non existent. This is a real setback. Even on the Cub cadet parts diagram it shows as a "discontinued part" and doesn't give you any replacement options. None of their major dealers (Tractor Supply nor Home Depot carry them). I finally had to cross reference many MANY different part numbers and placed an order for what I hope are the right blades direct from Cub Cadet. 4. I wish this had some kind of suspension. At least seat suspension. I may buy an aftermarket seat for this. I would have gladly paid $50 more for seat suspension. A few Compliments 1. The headlights are FANTASTIC. Seriously fantastic. You don't realize how valuable this is until you have them. We have mowed in the pitch dark and didnt even really noticed that the sun set an hour ago. 2. Runs very smooth, quick speed, turns are great. 3. Great engine (Kawasaki). Always starts right away. 4. I'd say this is one tiny step below a commercial mower. It's really a great machine. A few small updates from Cub Cadet and it would be a five star all day long. Overall I'm pleased with the mower. I would not hesitate for a second to buy this. Bums me out they have lowered the price TWICE in 30 days since i bought it. (what on earth does "smart attitude" mean on this review questionnaire?"

Rated 5 out of 5 by from cub cadet I received this mower, cub cadet, approximately 6 weeks ago. It was delivered and in excellent condition. The delivery person showed all the items to me. This lawn mower is fabulous for my 2.5 acre, with very rough yard. Cuts mowing time by 1/3

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best cut ever Wow is an understatement with this mower. I thought a 60 was to big of a deck for my yard with a walnut grove but I was wrong it is like a balarina hippo but and nimble. To say I am happy with my purchase is an understatement. My whole neighborhood has mower envy. There is 1 down side if you enjoy spending time on your mower you will be upset on how fast it cuts. I just ride on it enjoy it more after cutting. Super comfy seat and amazing handles that are fully adjustable. Must have mower

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fast work of Mowing. I got this mower very early in 2019 and had it sitting around for a while until I could try it. On large lawn with good drainage this mower is a MONSTER for speed and ease of use. But since my yard take a while during April and May to dry out I had a tough time with it. The small front wheels get stuck in soggy/boggy ground and the back tires with flat treads designed for not tearing up your grass in zero turns will spin easily and get stuck. Have a backup mower with large wheels standing by to pull yourself out. Now when it rains hard to use the old mower to do the soggy/boggy areas and do the rest with my ZT2 60 for it's exceptional speed and large fuel tank. Speaking of the fuel tank, it's large enough to do both the front and back yards of my 5 acre lot without refueling in between. I also have roots from trees that protrude from the ground which will destroy a mower's blades quickly, but I haven't hit any at all this year and found I can mow as low as 2 inches making the yard look well manicured like a golf course or park.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from So Far, So Awesome I am Very Satisfied with my purchase. To be honest this is my first Zero Turn mower. I am the type of person that if I am going to buy something I am going to do a lot of research before I make the purchase. I will spend more money on an item if I can justify that the extra cost will result in higher quality parts that I feel will increase the durability, ease of use, and longer life span. Thanks to Cub Cadet and the ZT2 60 I feel that I got a machine that is built with all of those qualities without having to pay the extra cost. After my research, I knew that I wanted a mower with commercial quality drive transaxles, a commercial quality motor with more power than I need, a foot pedal so I could quickly raise the deck when needed to keep the blades from hitting the ground or anything else that might be too high to get over, and I also wanted the wider rear tires. The fabricated deck with the reinforced bottom edge, the adjustable seat with a high backrest and arm rests, and being able to mow in reverse are very nice extras that would be on my priority list now, after having used them. I purchased the lots next to me which is why I needed more than a push mower. I was afraid the 60" deck might be a little overkill for my mowing needs, which are now just over an acre of some very uneven ground, many trees, and a lot of slopes that are steeper than what is considered acceptable in the owners manual. I raked the leaves in my lot before I took possession of the new property. The new lots still had all of the leaves still there which have been buried under the snow all winter and then a lot of rain this spring and this mower was able to suck them all up off the ground with the deck height set at 3.5 inches. I did have to go over some of it a second time, only to better mulch the wet leaves, and I was impressed by how much suction and mulching capability it had. It made the leaves completely disappear so well, that it made think that I would not have had to rake my leaves if I had known how well this mower was going to work. I really like my Cub Cadet ZT2 60 mower. I am glad that it does not have all of the extra plastic body parts. It is much easier to blow off the grass and dust, and easier to check and change the engine oil.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Cub cabet zt2 60 I got the Cub Cadet TZ2 60 Zero turn mower to try and am so glad that I did. This thing is amazing! I had never used or ridden a zero turn before and at first was both nervous and skeptical at best about how hard it would be to get used to. Boy was I wrong! After going over the basic instructions and safety features I was off and running in no time at all. Within about 15 minutes I was riding and mowing like a pro! The mower was not only amazingly easy to get used to, It mowes GREAT as well. Your speed and turns are easily controlled with the simple push or pull on the controlls. It mowes great even at high speeds. In fact, my yard has honestly never looked better. I would highly recommend this mower to anyone who does their own yard maintenance!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing, I Love it This is my first Zero Turn Mower. I researched several competitors, and settled on the Cub Cadet ZT2 60. WOW, amazing machine. I had first settled on an orange brand, but shange my mind. Here's why. The CC has a sturdier frame, a better, more solidly built deck mechanism, a more comfortable seat, a better and beefier steering controller set, and from what I hear, the CC is much quieter. Compared to the consumer green brand, the green brand looks and feels like a toy. The red brand was equally inferior in each of the areas that I evaluated. Of course, as we progress into commercial machines, there are some fine offerings. That said, the CC is clearly the star of its class, and shares many of the features found on machines designed to be used all day, every day. Last is the cut quality, which I found to be amazing. The CC has a deck and discharge system that results in more cuts on each blade of grass. It simply cuts the grass to a fine mulch, and leaves very few clippings. It also cuts and tracks nicely, leaving a smooth, even surface. As I stated before, WOW.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Problems I bought the zt2 60 a month ago and now I wish I would have bought a different mower for 2 reasons. 1. The mower does not have an easy fuel indicator so that I know when I am about to run out of gas. I have to stop get off the mower and lift the seat to see the fuel tank. This really isnt that big of a problem but a fuel gauge of some kind would have been nice. 2. The first time I used this mower it cut great and was easy to use. I stored it in the shed until the yard needed another cut (about 4 days). When I went to get my new mower out of the shed I noticed a horrible smell in the shed that I could not find the source of. Once I started mowing I noticed that the mower was leaving a line of uncut grass right down the middle of the mower. After further inspection I realized that I had an enormous amount of grass clipping stuck under the deck of the mower even though I used the wash port after the previous mowing. The wet grass had Mildewed and that is what was stinking in my shed. Once I removed the stuck grass with a scraper, being careful not to scratch the inside of the deck, the mower cut great. I spend about 20 minutes after each mowing with my mower on a set of car ramps to access the undercarriage of the deck so that I can spray the huge clumps of grass out with a water hose so that it doesnt stink in my shed and will cut the next time I need to mow. I put fertilizer down this year and i am mowing every 3 to 4 days making sure that the grass doesnt get too tall. Which would be great for someone who loved having a new toy to play with everytime the yard needed mowing but not for me. I have sharpened the new blades, I have sprayed dry graphite under deck to help keep the grass from building up all with no luck. If it were not for this issue I would recommend this mower to anyone but due to this major pain everytime I mower I would not recommend this mower!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Failing - not worth the money Let’s see if Cub Cadet allows this review to be posted. We have now had the ZT2 60 for one month now so we’ve had an opportunity to use it 4-5 times now. In short, if you like wearing most of the grass you cut....this is the mower for you. I’m not sure if it’s the chute angle or the deck itself but either way in even a light wind the grass ejected from the deck ends up covering the rider. So much so that Cub Cadet might as well omit the cup holder because it is useless when grass ends up covering whatever during you have in it. I thought at first that the lack of fenders could be part of the problem so I purchased the fenders but they didn't do much to fix the issue. The fender kit is as poorly designed as the deck and chute. It barely covers the tires and leaves an opening below the frame that still allows a lot of grass to enter the engine area and the back of the seat. It is an absolute waste of money. While we’re talking about the engine area, let me mention the frame...mine is already rusting. A cross member between the upper frame and the lower frame (on each side) is missing a weld. Since this missing weld is on a downslope of the frame, it has already gathered water and is streaking with rust. It is guaranteed to collect more water and debris inside the frame. There is a small weep hole in the lowest part of the frame but it will plug and create more problems. Back to the deck - I have looked at and made as many adjustments to the anti-scalp wheels but I cannot keep the mower from tilting when turning left and leaving uneven lines in the grass. The problem doesn’t seem to be speed related (I’ve tried everything) so it leaves me to a poor deck mounting system. Lastly, I didn’t think the mower striped the yard very well so I decided to put the striping kit (another extra charge) - guess what?? No noticeable difference. So now I have a lot of money tied up into a poorly design and already rusting brand new mower that only looks good but fails on basic functions. Nice job Cub Cadet
