Rated 5 out of 5 by from IT'S A TANK Maintain it well and you will get lots of use out of it. I use this residential tractor in my landscaping company's fleet and it puts up to hours of use daily everyday. Superior cut quality and power. I've never been through grass too tall or too thick for this beast -- just keep the blades sharpened. It has no problem hauling mulch and dirt with the two large turf tires (top dressing a lawn). It will not wheelie, but instead provides a smooth, responsive acceleration. The lights and cut quality could be better, but that's why Cub Cadet offers commercial products. It is more than adequate for residential use.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Machine I bought this wonder machine Cub Cadet - ZT1 50 to help on my 3 acres and boy I tell you. I sure was super surprise at the way it moves, powerful punch, and guides. With this Cub Cadet - ZT1 50 it takes me around 1 hour now to mow my 3 acres. I recommend this Cub Cadet - ZT1 50 to everybody. It's easy to guide especially for a woman.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Mower This mower is great, we were able to get done in half the time as normal and it left the grass looking amazing. It is our first zero turn and very easy to use.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent mower Have owed my ZT 1 50 for about 2 months now, and couldn't be any happier with the mower. 1st zero turn I've owed and love it!! Had to practice maneuvering it around before I cut the grass, which was not an issue because it handles so easily.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Ultima ZT1 50 Purchased this mower on 9/27/19 from a local dealer. I did a lot of research before buying. Looked at a lot of big brand names along with Cub Cadet. For the price point, the ZT1 50 seemed like the best bang for the buck. 23hp Kawasaki motor, 50in fab. deck, LED headlights just to name a few features. I've been on a few zero turns, but this is my first. Have only had lawn tractors. Easy starting, awesome cut and very fast. Purchased the mulch kit as well, does a fine job. I own 1 acre, cut my mowing time in half. Also does well on my steep hills. You will not be disappointed with this mower.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Mower Great cut with three blades and strong engine. Fabricated deck is excellent and stays clean. I did add the arm rest kit for more comfort.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Much improved over previous generation ZTR mowers First use was awesome. Seat is especially comfortable as is the foot deck mat. Speed was very fast, cutting height selection was so easy and so many grass height levels to choose from. I really like the LED headlights for the fall nights coming soon. This mower got much better traction than my other ZTR, no more left rear wheel spinning. Only things I would change would be to have an easy-adjust seat (kind of a hassle to take bolts out to adjust it) and the handles have too far of a throw to get to top speed. I might also add a USB port for cell phones too, just saying.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great residential zero turn I bought this mower about 1.5 months ago and wanted to wait to leave a review after a few cuts. I have cut my lawn 5 times with this mower now and I am impressed. I am coming from a lawn tractor and this mower has cut my mowing time in half. Easy to maneuver and cuts evenly on a mostly flat yard. I also purchased the striping kit and makes a slight difference on the striping. Just wished the rollers had more weight to make the grass bend more to show noticeable stripes in the yard. A little aeriation this fall and some KY31 seed and next season hope to have better results. Overall, a purchase I will make again in the future with the cub cadet brand.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Greatest lawnmower of ALL TIME! I enjoy mowing my lawn now. The seat of this is amazing and so comfortable. It is so easy to use. It's a powerful machine and I would recommend to anyone that has a big yard to mow this makes time go back with a breeze. The headlights really help when the sun is going down. The different levels of the mower really ensure that you can get your lawn looking awesome. I Highly recommend this mower it is absolutely the best of all time.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from cut my yard time from 2hrs to 30min I've been wanting one for a while and finally decided to get one and its great! I have 1 acre and after getting acclimated to the controls its a dream. This zero turn has the power and deck I was looking for and it has larger tires than competitors at the same price. The only thing I have noticed and I'm going to get it looked at is the front right wheel starts to squeak about 20 min into cutting but it doesn't effect anything. over all a great buy!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from ZT1 50 is EXCELLENT! After a couple of weeks of research on various mowers I decided to go with the ZT1 50. It was delivered Friday 5/22/20 & used the mower over the weekend. After 6 hrs of use I am very satisfied! I read about certain issues with the deck vibrating while the PTO is engaged; I did NOT experience this issue. I cut about 3.5 acres & this mower definitely cut my time in half. I have uneven terrain with slopes/hills & several trees. It maneuvered so smoothly & was a joy to operate. The design & features are definitely an A-plus in my book. I will update review in a few months. Thanks, Cub Cadet for such an awesome mower!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very nice I ordered it online, and it was delivered the very next day! The gentleman that delivered it was professional and knew what he was talking about when he dropped it off. Cut my lawn the same day I got it and super happy with how easy it is to use and the great job it did! It’s also a good looking machine. Happy happy

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best mower, period. I bought this mower a year ago. Easy to use and cuts to perfection. Best mower for the money. I am a club cadet fan for life.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great cut, comfort, and speed. Holds debris I replaced a 17 y.o. lawn tractor. Zero turn is the way to go. It cuts MUCH faster, smoother, and completely. It gets under low bush and tree canopies. But the mower chassis and the welded deck have a LOT of places that catch and hide debris. You DO NOT want to hose the deck bearings when not turning and you can't do it with them turning while sitting on the seat.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Cub Cadet Ultima Zero Turn Terrific Mower The Ultimate Zero Turn 50" mower is a truly excellent mower and does a significantly better job of creating a nice, level grass cutting. It is easy to start and very easy to adjust the cutting height with a foot pedal and dial. The deck design is especially good in that it has excellent discharge behavior and that translates to very good performance when using the bagger. In terms of needed improvements, I would list a couple: (a) Add extra springing to the seat, as the bumper cushions are barely adequate in making travel over roots or other bumps tolerable; and (b) Update the manuals for accessories to the new mower design, e.g. the bagger manual does not correctly reflect the chute adapter (specified but not actually needed) or the frame holes that are supposed to be pre-drilled (but aren't) for the front counter-weights when using the bagger.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from QC in the factory and at HD retailers need attent I have gone through 2 tractors now from HD in 7 days. First one the frame bolts were stripped and couldn't be tightened so the frame rattled. Second one HD thought there was nothing wrong with it however i got it home and the PTO wouldn't engage. Now they are working on an exchange with one that arrived to them in a crate with a broken seat. Not sure i am going with this HD or this brand if they cant get number 3 right.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from 20 hours and it’s in shop for 4 weeks !!! Bought at the end of April, the middle of July the engine started running rough and had no power. Sent it to Taylor power equipment for repair on July 18, it is now august 18 and I still have no mower. Rediculous!!!!!!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from A little frustrating I bought it a month ago and have only been able to use it 1 time. Got it home did part of my lawn and it started running like bad. Brought it to a certified repair shop and it was there for 3 weeks. (Can’t fault them they were extremely busy). There should be a way to get things fixed especially when it is brand new without having to wait that long. Turns out that the carburetor was dirty ( how when the machine has only 1/2 hour on it ) I waited a long time to get a new lawn tractor and it is frustrating to say the least. Seems to be working fine now but have only been able to complete my lawn 1 time.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Absolutely insane How is it that you’re approved “authorized dealers” don’t have a clue on how to order from y’all how to swipe the TD bank card for purchasing and you yourselves don’t have a way to Order directly from your website seeing as to how there’s no way to add to cart . Customer service Hangs up and having me wait on hold for 45 minutes and your online chat feature is a joke as I’ve waited for over an hour and half trying to get some help this afternoon. WHY IS IT so hard for me to give you my money to Buy Your products ? Like what even is that ?

Rated 3 out of 5 by from I like the mower so far but.... 7hrs on meter so far and is strong mower but the whining in the steering does not sound normal. Very loud. Hope this is not an issue. But other than that it seems to be a great mower. Time will tell.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from best bang for the dollar being a now retired ASE Master tech and small off road engine tech still part time employed,Also owning a Lt1050 and a sr621 and 3 vintage early CUBS. I did a lot of shopping to replace my aged 2008 cub cadet LT1050 . and lot i mean looking at every brand,Opting for another CUB over others . Finding NONE at the nearby servicing cub dealers, I had to opt for one from home depot,Insisting on in the crate for self assembly.knowing how poorly they assemble, Took a hour to UN-crate, Man are those crates nailed.plated and screwed another 2 to go over it and do a basic PDI going over every nut and bolt with a torque wrench,Did i find issues? YES several bad ones. Many bolts were loose,in critical spots, At any rate the unit is as well built as the others if not better. Side by side with a major brand commercial i was servicing ,JUST as good. parts used are of good to great quality, PRO's Overall it's way better Built than the nearer competitor .Welded steel VER stamped. The frame is a tank,The fab deck another beast. Engine one of the best, only bested out by a Honda engine, In the minds of pro techs. many bolted items ,go into rivet nuts with fully threaded bolts, not self threading bolts into holes punched into the steel.that are well known to techs to cause issues at latter dates. CUT wise it's better than my old cub LT1050 ever did, The Kawasaki motor is smooth running with way less noisy than the old 25 hp kohler courage sv730 i was used to. CONs The seat adjustment using wing nut bolts,STINKS.where is the lever shown in the owners manual? The fuel tank level can not be seen from the seat, one must look at the tank from the rear to see whats left. 3 of the 5/16x16 bolts going into the rivet nuts used had been cross threaded into the nuts.1 on the floor plate,1 on the folding rear cross bar, broke off while carefully trying to get them out. 1/2 hour of very careful drilling and re tapping they were out and replaced, saving the rivet nut used i was able to remove and re-thread the third I know there has to be other areas where self threading bolts were used those will get replaced when removed. One item i dread is the blade spindles , I know from past issues the imported bearing are double lip sealed and dry from the maker. every one i have had to replace, when i took the seals out i found no grease what so ever, why they put a grease zerk on the housing knowing one can not grease a double sealed,is beyond me. Yet overall i would highly recommend this machine.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Everything I had hoped for Wife and I purchased a new Cub Cadet Ultima ZT1 50 to replace an aging Husqvarna Z4818 that served us very well (566 hrs). We have both mowed our 2 acres with the mower and feel we can provide a good early review. Pros: Sturdy construction and good design - welded tubular steel frame is as solid as it looks. No flex at all; thus no metal fatigue. The deck is welded rather than stamped steel like the Husky. Although I would have liked a heavier gauge steel, it should be more than adequate for residential use. Because the frame is so strong, there is no need for a lot of other structural sheet metal that makes cleaning difficult and inhibits cooling of transmissions. Asymmetrical front wheel alignment may be unique and allows you to cut closer to obstacles. Paint quality seems excellent. Deck height adjustment provide small increments and very easy to set. Easy of handling - turning bars feel very good. Controls are very responsive and smooth. You soon forget you are driving the mower. You just look where you want to go and it seems to go there on its own. I particularly appreciate the large rear tires. Power - 23 hp Kawasaki engine is more than adequate. We let the native grasses in a large area of our yard mature and set seed in the spring at which time the grass is very thick and 30" high. The new mower made a pass at 4.5 (max deck height) and a second pass at 3. We cut at walking speed and full deck width with no bogging and excellent clearance of the cuttings. The engine didn't change its tune at all. Engine makes about the same noise and uses the same amount of gasoline as the B&S on the old Husky. Cons: Seat durability?: Seat is comfortable, but nothing special. It has softer foam padding and a pullover vinyl upholstery that may not be as durable as a molded seat. Headlights: They are a nice feature, but one popped out of its opening when bumped by a tree limb. Glad they are there though. Final thought: We bought from a local family owned mower shop. It was great to meet them, and I know where I can buy belts, blades, and service as needed. Big Box stores don't need the money and won't service the mower. Buy from your neighbors and at the same price.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Zero Turn We love this mower. Easy to start. Very simple to change the cutting height. The seat is comfortable and well made. The arms are simple to use. You turn them like you turn a shopping cart. It only took me a couple tries to get it. I have 2 acres and it took about 10-15 minutes to mow the whole lawn.
