Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very comfortable I bought this Cub Cadet CC 30 H in June to replace my 30 year old Lawn-Boy RE8E. The seat is great on my back, the automatic transmission is great. It is quiet and cuts nicely and turns on a tight radius. Can't think of anything negative !

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great riding lawn mower I love this hydrostatic transmission mower, don't have to mess around switching gear.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Needs an anti scalp feature! Love this mower, just the right size, but it needs anti scalp wheels or skids or something.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from GREAT First Riding Mower! This is my first riding mower. Until my CC30 H was delivered, I had never even used a riding mower before. I purchased it from an independent Cub Cadet dealer and the mower was delivered to our home and it was fully set up at the dealer's shop, was delivered with a full tank of gas and the tech who assembled and set up my CC30 H explained everything I needed to know. I've had the mower exactly 2 months and have used it 8 times to mow our 1/4 acre property (front and back). Thus far, it has performed flawlessly. The cut is quite acceptable considering that I'm now cutting the grass at a faster pace than with the traditional push ("Personal Pace") mower. There have been no mechanical issues and cleanup is easy with a leaf blower and the hose attachment on the deck. I purchased the grass catcher / bagger with the mower and read as many reviews and watched as many videos available on numerous websites as well as having read the Owners Manual and other official manuals for this riding mower so as to be as well-informed about what owning and operating a riding mower may require. I also purchased this mower due to its very manageable size and, most importantly, it fit through our 42" gate between the back and front yards, which meant no fence / gate alterations. Overall, I'm very, very happy with my purchase of the Cub Cadet CC30 H riding mower and would immediately replace it with the same model were anything to happen to it.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Riding Mower Have used the mower for about 2 months, everything works fine. If I have any criticisms it would be the the seat is hot and the port for changing the oil looks very inconvenient.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Well made rider I've had this rider about a month ago. I think it's well made with Cub Cadet quality. It runs well and allows me to mow forward and in reverse. It covers a lot of ground. My only two suggestions are 1) it needs some anti-scalp wheels on the mowing deck so it doesn't cut too short on rolling lawns, and 2) the front wheels mash down the grass so the mower doesn't mow it as close. These two items cause less than perfect mowing.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great little Machine Bought my mower about a month ago. I have used it now 5 times. Works great for a small yard that has some tight areas. I also am very pleased with the quality of the cut! Lawn looks great! I used to walk behind a self propelled unit for over an hour, and took two breaks. Now I get done in less than an hour, and I sit down with a COLD ONE and admire my lawn!!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great results I bought this mower because of health issues while push mowing my yard. I couldn’t be happier with the results. My yard is smaller and this mower allows me to maneuver with ease. The mulching kit attached leaves no unwanted grass clippings behind. It’s easy to use and very fuel efficient.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect choice for a neighborhood mower! After a lot of research,I purchased this mower a month ago and so far I’m very pleased with it’s performance. Have 4.5 hrs on it right now and will charge oil according to the maintenance schedule’s initial break in of 5 hrs. Hope this is a seamless process. I really like the high back seat, very much needed! Cuts great!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect size for our yard It fits through a standard gate and we can pass easily from front to back yard. Only complaint is it didn't come with a muffler and it's pretty loud. Otherwise, we love it!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Like it Small so it has a great turning radius and is quite maneuverable. Power is adequate to tow a spiker/spreader and a dethatcher. Only complaint is I had to replace the main spindle bearing after 4 months due to severe deck shacking. New one isn't performing much better but at least the warranty is 3 years

Rated 5 out of 5 by from 30" Riding Mower - Great Option for smaller spaces I have a moderate sized fenced in yard with gates to pass through. This 30" mower has great maneuverability and a tight turning radius. It was definitely my best option and I'm glad I didn't go with a lawn tractor.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from CC 30 Cub Cadet I bought this rider a little over 3 years ago. Didn't really start using until after I moved. I am now in my third season and it does a really nice job. It's small enough for me to handle and the maintenance is low. Replaced the drive belt, changed the oil and filter, and sharpened the blade this year.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Like it. Don’t love it. I like it but some things are very difficult. Changing the oil is totally ridiculous. With the bagger on, it’s difficult to check the oil and nearly impossible to add oil. It does a decent job of cutting. I would only recommend if I could tell all the cons first.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Too Light Weight I have had the mower for about two months (six cuttings). I am disappointed in its inability to operate without spinning one of its back wheels when cutting diagonally across a gentle slope in my yard. The tires have very little tread depth and almost work as if slick. This mower would be great if you had a completely level lot. Also, when using the cleaning port at the end of a cut, water pools in the "valley" of the deck top. There should be a small drain hole or two to prevent this pooling.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from In general a nice mower A nice mower whose main advantage is that it will go through a 3 foot gate & is suited for small yards. Does not have a lot of transmission power & can struggle in reverse when backing up a slight incline. Turning radius is always important but when making very sharp turns the steering/tires can bind. Gas tank could be larger. Frame seems to flex quite a bit when going over rough ground. One main improvement over Cub Cadet mowers of the past is that mulch plug & deck chute install with wing knobs(wing nuts) which is a big improvement over the rubber elastic strap of previous mowers. Seat is comfortable. You can find a less expensive 30" mower but they usually don't have hydrostatic transmission is a big advantage.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from All around great mower ! We can’t be happier with our purchase of this Cub Cadet. We added on the grass catcher (perfect) and a trailer too. Our Cub not only gives us a great cut on our lawn but also doubles as a all around work horse for our greenhouse build, gardens and cleanup on our 1.2 acre property, and it’s fun as well. We researched all mowers in this class before purchasing our Cub, overall best mower we found, in addition; we have hills on our property and this Cub was the only one in it’s class that was actually rated for hills, amazing ease of use and comfortable to use. Thanks Cub Cadet

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great riding mower! I purchased this riding mower to make mowing a large yard more enjoyable. After mowing the yard several times, I have discovered that mowing is no longer a long ordeal, but in fact I actually feel energetic after mowing. A great investment in time and energy savings!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love it! I've used my Cub Cadet the past month, and I am very pleased with it. Easy to use, easy to turn, and I love the hose spray feature to clean underneath. One thing that might need improved is when I am using the hose feature, there needs to be a way to get the water off the top of the deck. I don't see any drain holes.Sometimes the rear wheel spins when I'm going up a small incline, but usually I can back up a bit and try a little different angle. Overall, I am very pleased with this mower!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Not Bad Seems to be a well built machine. I bought it because I don't have a lot of space for a 42 in cut mower. It is made for a flat lawn and I found that to be true. I have a few small hills and it doesn't like it. If you have a VERY flat lawn then this could be for you. The deck wash hose connection on the deck has a design defect in the quick disconnect. Leaks all over the top of the deck. I contacted service and they sent me a complete new connect mechanism and it still leaks. It needs an O ring in the male end and there is none. I won't use that feature. With my small hills I don't know that I would buy it if I knew it didn't like them. There is a wire like ring at the back of the machine that disconnects the drive train to enable to push the mower by hand. Seems kind of flimsy to me. I would think they could have designed a better way. All in all not a bad machine. Seems to burn a lot of gas but I'm use to my push mower. I would only recommend it if you have a VERY flat lawn.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from the mow in reverse is perfect the perfect little rider i went from PONY 42'' cut to this 30'' in cut and i get done in a faster time because this mower cuts in reverse and the troy bilt pony did not what a difference and i can whip it around flowers trees, whatever is in the yard with the hydro stat drive it makes it a lot easier, but i cant complain about the troy bilt it worked flawlessly for 8 years. and still works just wanted a new different rider.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from More A-plus features than nearest competitor. I took delivery on this tractor on 06/07/18 and I’m on my 4 lawn cutting and it’s amazing and flaw less, a great value!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great mower for small or bumpy lawns. I like the exercise I get from using a push mower. However, there are times I just want to get the lawn mowed, and as quickly as possible. Also, my lawn has some uneven spots that resulted in ripped up grass and dirt when I used a 42" tractor that someone loaned me last year. The CC 30 H Rider is great for both issues. It cuts over an hour off my normal mowing time, and the cut is narrow enough that it's not affected by the uneven areas in my yard. The mower is easy to start, easy to switch to mowing in reverse, and the safety features make it impossible to step off the mower while the blade is engaged (the mower shuts off). I wish I had purchased this mower last year when I was mowing every three days.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Little Mower Bought this mower for my Mother-in-Law. She loves how easy it is to start and mow with. Traditionally it took me about an hour and a half to mow with my self propelled mower. Now it takes half of that with only a fraction of the effort! Looking forward to my second mowing season, as soon as the snow stops!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A bit skeptical at first… I have a fairly large lot and have for decades mowed it by hand because it is on a 10-15º slant. I was going to buy a zero turn thinking it would be better on slopes. I quickly found that was not true. Then I found a review that said the CC 30 handled his yard fine. I have to admit I was a little hesitant the first couple times out, but once I got a decent pattern established all is well. This thing handles it like a champ. There are a few spot I still wouldn't want to try, but I now mow 90% of my lawn with it and the lawn looks better than ever. Very glad I made the purchase, can't wait to mow again!
