Rated 4 out of 5 by from 50 in riding mower is great for lot's of mowing Bought the 50in riding mower being it had a better mower deck and the big 50in mowing . Took it to the farm and we used it all day mowing fields and never skipped a bet. Only reason I gave it a 4 star I fell like a bigger gas tank would have have rounded out this mower as a 5 star.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from What A Wonderful Garden Tractor . This is one of the BEST Cubs ive ever had and ive had alot over 30 years .. The power & torque is AMAZING ! The fabricated heavy duty decks are well-built and this tractor can cut some grass for sure ! The steering and responsiveness it's very impressive turn on a dime handle so nice ! This is the closest to the 1960s Cub Cadet you can get back when they made something the last this one here will last ! Worth every penny !

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Great for 1 year! I was fed up with my old John Deere and said enough. Went and purchased this machine on Memorial Day of 2018, first year it ran great. 2019 we relandscaped our yard and did not have to mow more than3 hours worth. Now it is 2020 my machine will not start. Cannot connect with anyone at Cub Cadet. I have spent 3 days and over 2 hours on hold and no one answers. Contacted local dealer and seller. Replaced starter, and starter solenoid, still the machine will not run and no one will answer! Very unhappy and will not be purchasing another CUb Cadet. Extremely Poor Customer Service. 3 year warranty means nothing if Cub will not speak with you to report a claim! I have 51 hours on my machine and it is utterly usless!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great mower About 3 years in, and it still does a great job. Easy to maintain and replace parts. Recently it's been struggling going uphill so hopefully that's not a major issue.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Poor deck design. Every time I mow the deck ends up plugged with grass. There are too many areas under the deck where grass clipping can collect. Using the hose and water attachment does not clean the grass from the deck, it just make the grass stuck to the deck wet!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from First Year Replaced an older competitive model with this one. Got the fab deck thinking that was the way to go. I agree with others that the fab deck traps a lot of grass and the water hose fitting simply makes the trapped grass wet. I've found it's best to simply remove the deck every ten hours or so and pressure wash the underside. It is much lighter than my old mower and the triple blades are NOT timed overlapping blades so if you mow faster than a fast walk, you will get some "lines" of uncut grass in your lawn. This machine has about 5 more horsepower than my old one and it is injected. It uses significantly more fuel than my old one. I find it uses about 3 gallons in about two hours and that is about the size of the tank, so you need to refuel if your yard is over two acres. The steering is very good and because the shroud and bodywork are very light plastic, the weight is down low which helps with stability. If you are six feet tall, the seating position, though adjustable puts your knees on either side of the cowling, which means if you reach into your right pocket, you will move your right knee and likely cut the ignition in the process (just a "heads up"). So the big takeaways so far is it is lighter than older units but it uses more fuel and oh yeah...it's a 54 inch deck but you can't cut that on the second pass...to cut cleanly you need to run it about 60% so 40 inches. If you need to cut quickly (fast walk) you should just skip it and go to a big zero-turn. The manual reminds you that "it's not a bush hog!"...heck no, it's not. If the grass gets thick, even if it's only 6" tall, you probably need two runs to cut it. Also, can't emphasize enough the deck traps grass like a fiend. If you hear the blades slow down (like hitting thick grass) you need to slow your ground speed to make a good cut. It uses a significant amount of fuel as well. For the price, I think it is pretty good but if you are used to an older unit, it may not impress.
