Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love My Mower! Took me for a while to decide to spend this much $$$ on a small mower but I am so glad I did. Easy to operate and cut super clean. I was a bit skeptical about the power since it's electric but I can't tell the difference compared to the gas mower I owned before. When the blade is not engaged, it is so quiet (quieter than a golf cart). Because of the springs under the seat, it rides so smooth. Turn ratio is so good and it's almost like a zero-turn mower. I like the remaining battery display. What they advertise (up to 1 hour or 1 acre) has been right on. I normally have 23% left after mowing 3/4 of an acre lot. There's not much maintenance since this is not a gas operated mower. It will save so much time and effort and this is the biggest reason I wanted to go electric. I just love my mower and I never had this much fun taking care of the yard. I highly recommend

Rated 4 out of 5 by from First Impressions First: I'm not mowing a lawn, I'm mowing weeds on uneven terrain on a hill with gofer mounds. I purchased an electric mower because all my tools are electric, and I'm in CA which limits the selection to gas engines that meet CARB (and cost more). Comparing electric to mowers with good transmissions, electric was not that much more. It is also relatively light. I can pick up the front end by the bar and move it around if stuck in a corner. The CC 30 e is nimble and has good speed control in forward and reverse using the heel and/or toe pedals, no transmission to switch. The controls are intuitive while still providing the safety features. The mower blades had sufficient power, but did shut off automatically a couple of times when overloaded by gofer mounds. The deck does not have guide wheels, so mowing can be a little uneven when on uneven terrain. My hill is between 9 and 20 degrees of slope. When mowing across the hill at the steepest points (which the directions say not to do), it can feel like it might tip, but the wheels never left the ground. My only complaint is that on uneven terrain, mainly when turning, you can lose traction because one wheel will spin and power is not applied to the other wheel. You have to lean into the wheel that is spinning or backup and retry. This was not a problem on even terrain or dry grass.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from No More Gas No more gas, no spark plugs, no belts, no nothing. Only wish it was heavier on the drive wheels because I have some slight inclines to climb. BUT, I get two complete sessions between charging, so that's great.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Very Disappointed I bought the CC 30 e about a month ago. To be completely honest its terrible. If the grass is a bit long or a little wet it does not have the torque to cut it, it shuts down. Extremely frustrating !! You have to cut at a snails pace. That's not the worst part. I get the error 'contactor tips welded closed' every time I use the mower. When that happens the mower is dead in the water. Since it is electric its always in gear so when it shuts down its stuck wherever it happened. I thought Cub Cadet was a quality brand....It is not, this mower is garbage.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from QUIET I've had my "Cub" CC 30 e for two seasons now (barely a year old) and I still love it. No gas in my shed, lowest maintenance and easy to operate. After using Greenworks lawn equipment, I knew I wanted an electric rider.
