Cub Cadet Manager Named Certified Grounds Manager

Vince Jagodzinski joins exclusive group certified by the Professional Grounds Management Society

Orlando, FL – January, 2019– Cub Cadet today announced that Vince Jagodzinski, corporate grounds manager and sales manager within its Specialty Turf Division, has complete the testing and evaluation required to be named a Certified Grounds Manager by the Professional Grounds Management Society (PGMS). Jagodzinski joins an exclusive group of less than 200 members who have received the honor of certification.

The Certified Grounds Manager program, developed and offered through PGMS, is a rigorous process that tests competency in various aspects of grounds management and professional knowledge, from turf operations to finances, and requires extensive experience in the green industry. Grounds managers who receive the certification advance their level of professionalism, reflected in a greater emphasis placed on their presentations, recommendations, and requests for funding.

“This certification continues to elevate our profession and is humbling to me as an industry professional,” said Jagodzinski. “To be counted among less than 200 members who are certified is an honor and an achievement of which I’m quite proud. It reflects the knowledge acquired through practical experience and effort applied in our field.”

In his current role, Jagodzinski focuses his expertise on the corporate grounds of Cub Cadet’s parent company, MTD, Inc., and provides solutions to fellow grounds managers at sporting venues across North America. He will be featured in the PGMS quarterly publication and honored at the 2019 Green Industry & Equipment Expo.

The PGMS is an individual membership society of grounds professionals, representing more than 1,000 industry professionals in the United States, with additional international members. The majority of members are institutional grounds managers who work for organizations such as colleges and universities, municipalities, park and recreation facilities, office parks, apartment complexes, hotel/motels, cemeteries, and theme parks, along with independent landscape contractors, students, educators, and supplier members. It is the oldest individual membership organization for grounds professionals and advances the grounds management professional through education and professional development.
