Awesome machine!
So far I have mowed 3 times and love the way my Z148 performs. It provides a smooth even cut and distributes the clippings so that they are not visible. I have a short rather steep slope and the mower handles it with ease, doesn't try to slide sideways. I have pulled a 15 gallon sprayer with no problems. I used to use my tractor with a 60 inch finish mower and it took 3 hours to mow about 3 acres, now it takes around 2 hours!

Best mower I’ve owned!
After researching online and having my local mower service center recommend this mower I was provided a chance to test it out. Coming from a Exmark zero turn this has made such a difference. Mowing several types of terrain some being steep hills this thing handles it with no problem at all. It turns perfectly without tearing up the yard. The build quality is amazing and I know it will last a very long time. I also had the mulch kit installed and it works perfectly. Not clumps of grass or trimmings left in the yard even after mowing high damp grass in the spring. I highly recommend this to anyone looking for a zero turn mower, especially if you have hills to mow.

Super maneuverability and comfortable ride!
At first I was thinking about a 54” machine because I have a 1.5 acre lot (with fruit trees and obstacles) that I maintain, and several larger acre tracts with hills. However, I decided on the 48”. I bought it a few weeks ago, and although its winter here, I’ve used it for a short time. This machine is fantastic! It has great maneuverability and I can cut around just about all my trees and it is able to get into tight places. The heavy duty build quality is super. I’ve read somewhere that other folks didn’t like the steering – I disagree, I’ve found steering on this mower is very easy. My 2019 model has the oil filter placed outside the engine for easy replacement. Although it costs a little bit more, it is well worth the money.

I Was't Sure
I mow professionally and bought my PRO Z S model strictly to contend with severely sloping property. I've always been a little nervous when mowing these slopes in the past, but no more. I know I'm not being original when I say this, but this thing sticks to the hills like glue! When mowing these slopes I now feel every bit as secure as when mowing level ground.
On another note, I realize that I'm no rocket scientist to cut grass for a living, but I do take pride in my mowing, and I despise is turf tear! I know it's not difficult to prevent turf tear when using zero turn mower with lap bars if you're just a little careful. With the PRO Z S models though, you won't have to concern yourself with damaging dry healthy grass. It's about time a lawn mower manufacturer engineered a product to deal with turf tear. A big thank you to the folks at Cub for dealing successfully with this issue.
The one thing I would recommend to the folks at Cub Cadet is to make all future PRO Z S models with power steering. The lack thereof is my only disappointment with this mower.
I'm thoroughly and absolutely thrilled with this mower!!!

PRO Z 148-S is a "Rock-N-Roll" machine!
Purchased from American Pride in Zanesville and couldn't be happier. Ryan Dodson (owner) "steered" me toward the wheeled model (no pun intended) because I told him I had mostly hills on my property. Man that thing sticks to the side of a hill like glue! Have only had for about a month but so far I am really happy with the quality, power, and cut of this machine. The new Pro Z line is a "cut above" all others!!

Product very well made and thought out
I really love my mower.
I've put 10 more Hours on it this weekend. I have very hilly, uneven, terrain in the Blue Ridge mountains in VA. The seat and ride is very comfortable. I added the lights and and the 12 volt to my set up. The lights are very bright. Mower makes the lawn really look good. Can mow very fast and still cuts very well. So far will purchase again. I really like the steering wheel also keeps better control on the hills and uneven terrain.
Had one issue with mower when first purchased. Mower kept stalling as if the seat sensor was being tripped cutting it off and on. I found someone else who had the same problem online and presented it to the dealer they called other dealers until they found the dealer who fixed the other guy's cub . Found out it was a nut holding a cable on the starter that comes a loose that had to be re - tightened(came from the factory that way). My dealer Ace hardware in Ashland VA solved the problem.

Good at First
It started out as a good mower. After the first 100 hours nothing but problems. Have followed the maintenance schedule ... still problems. The steering is horrible. As of now it steers fine to the right ... but not the left. Clogs when grass is wet. It does stick to hills. I would not buy another one.

Dependable
3 seasons with this model. All is well with this mower, my place is a challenge to how well built a mower is especially the mower deck. I would give this mower a 5 star except for one issue, it needs power steering, it’s a big problem on this mower. I ordered the same mower last week minus the steering wheel. If my current cub pro z 100 had power steering, I wouldn’t be ordering a new pro z.
