Instructions

Step 1

Turn the mower off and make sure the engine is cool.  Remove the ignition key.  Disconnect the spark plug ignition wire.  Engage the parking break.

Step 2

Clean the oil fill and drain area of any debris.

Step 3

Remove the dip stick from the oil fill tube.  Then, using the Arnold Siphon Pump, place the top hose into the dip stick hole and the bottom hose into the oil drain pan.

Step 4

Prime the pump by pumping the handle three to four times.  Once the liquid begins to flow, it will flow without further pumping.

Step 5

Remove the Arnold Siphon Pump and add new oil as instructed in your operator's manual.

Step 6

To remove the oil using the drain plug method, position the catch basin under the drain hose.  Then, feed the drain hose through the opening and position it over the catch basin.

Step 7

Unscrew the drain plug and drain the oil into the catch basin.

Step 8

Replace the drain plug and add new oil as instructed in your operator's manual.

Step 9

Replace the dip stick.  Wait several minutes, then use the dip stick to check oil level.

Step 10

Clean the oil filter of any debris.

Step 11

Remove the oil filter.  Using oil, lubricate the gasket of the new filter, and then install the new filter.

Step 12

Reconnect the spark plug ignition wire.

Step 13

Dispose of oil properly.
